Matthew 11 : 11 (NLT)
“I tell you the truth, of all who have ever lived, none is greater than John the Baptist. Yet even the least person in the Kingdom of Heaven is greater than he is! “
At Genese Foundation, we believe that we are individually called to become a child of God, not a servant of God.
In the Old Testament, the best status that one could attain was that of a Servant. Moses was called a servant, so was Abraham as well as all the Old Testament prophets. This was because none of them ever had the privilege of experiencing the Holy Spirit living in him. In the Old Testament, men (servants) related to God only as Eternal or Lord.
However, Jesus was called Son.
And he was the first to bear this title. Henceforth, by walking after him, one also becomes the son or daughter of God, our Father. This is why Jesus was also the first to teach to pray to the Father. No more need to see God as a powerful, frightening and distant Being, exited to punish us when we do wrong. On the contrary, He is our Father who supports us, loves us and always protects us, against everything or spiritual enemy.
In the Master’s house, the servant is limited. His rights are limited and so are his privileges. But the child is the heir, meaning that everything that belongs to the Father also belongs to him. Therefore, the servant is at the service of the child in the Father’s house and the position of child / son is superior to that of the servant. Whoever is a servant is judged according to his works. And know it, you will never reach perfection through this way. But he who is a child benefits from grace. What he needs, he receives from his Father free of charge, with no need to deserve it through his deeds.
Proclaim it today: I am a child of God, I am the son or daughter of the Father. I am not a servant of God.
John 15 : 15
“No longer do I call you servants, for the servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you.”
